A home for the children who need one most: their own bed, three meals a day, medical care and a formal education.
The Machike Boarding School is located in Machike, a village in the Sheikhupura District. It was founded to give a home to the children who need one most. In this home — which we call a boarding school — the children receive proper meals, medical care, a formal education, and everything else they need.
Travelling through villages, cities and countless communities, our teams met families with school-age children living under bridges, in makeshift shelters, in one-room houses with large families, and with separated parents and guardians struggling with drug addiction. This boarding school was founded to reach children living in such conditions. Here every child has their own bed, three meals a day, medical care, a formal education, and their other essential needs met. Over the years hundreds of children have benefited from this facility, and many have graduated and now work as professionals in a variety of fields.
The children come from all over Pakistan, and their parents are deeply grateful that they can study and grow up in a comfortable, clean and healthy environment. We continue to serve hundreds of children at this school year after year. Your support as a sponsor is the key to keeping these doors open for more children living in poverty in the years ahead.
